This Penicillin-Streptomycin solution is a mixture of broad-spectrum antibiotics used to prevent or eliminate bacterial contamination. It is effective against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. The two antibiotics work synergistically: penicillin inhibits the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, while streptomycin disrupts protein synthesis.
