Ham’s F10 medium was initially developed to support the clonal growth of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells, lung cells, and mouse L-cells. It has since become a preferred medium for culturing human diploid cells, white blood cells for chromosomal analysis, and primary explants from rat, rabbit, and chicken tissues. As Ham’s F10 lacks proteins and growth factors, serum supplementation is recommended based on the specific cell type and application. The formulation includes L-glutamine to support cellular metabolism.

Uses:
Supplements, such as antibiotics, should be added as sterile supplements to the medium. Storage conditions and shelf-life of supplemented product will be affected by the nature of the supplements.

Signs of Deterioration:
Medium should be clear and free of particulate and flocculent material. Do not use if medium is cloudy or contains precipitate.  Other evidence of deterioration may include colour change or degradation of physical or performance characteristics.

The product is intended to be used in vitro for research or further manufacturing only and not for use as an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient or food or animal feed.
