Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) is designed to support the maintenance and growth of a wide range of mammalian cell types. When supplemented with fetal bovine serum, the High Glucose formulation is ideal for cells with elevated energy demands. This version is free of sodium pyruvate and contains L-Glutamine.

Uses:
Supplements, such as antibiotics, should be added as sterile supplements to the medium. Storage conditions and shelf-life of supplemented products will be affected by the nature of the supplements.  Add 10ml/l of Sodium Pyruvate 100mM before using this medium.

Signs of Deterioration:

Medium should be clear and free of particulate and flocculent material.  Do not use this medium if it is cloudy or contains precipitate.  Other evidence of deterioration may include colour change or degradation of physical or performance characteristics.

The product is intended to be used in vitro for research or further manufacturing only and not for useas an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient or food or animal feed.
