Eagle’s Minimum Essential Medium (BME), originally developed by Harry Eagle, is widely used for culturing mammalian eukaryotic cells. When supplemented with Fetal Bovine Serum, BME supports the growth and proliferation of various cell lines such as HeLa and L-cells, as well as primary cells like fibroblasts. This particular formulation includes Earle’s salts but is L-Glutamine-free.

Recommended use:
– Respect storage conditions of the product
– Do not use the product after its expiry date
– Store product in an area protected from light (not necessary for saline solutions).
– Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions (e.g.: under laminar air flow)
– Wear clothes adapted to the manipulation of the product to avoid contamination (e.g.: gloves, mask,
hygiene cap, overall…)

Uses:
Add 10 ml/l of L-Glutamine 200mM before using this medium.Supplements, such as antibiotics, should be added as sterile supplements to the medium. Storage conditions and shelf-life of supplemented product will be affected by the nature of the supplements.

The product is intended to be used in vitro for research or further manufacturing only and not for use as an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient or food or animal feed.
