Catalog # M1222-500 15€ (500mL)
Ham’s F12 medium is widely used to support the growth of rodent-derived cells, especially those from rabbits and rats, and has demonstrated excellent performance as a cloning medium for culturing myeloma and hybrid cells. It is often used in combination with dialyzed serum, hormones, selenium, and other supplements. Since Ham’s F12 medium lacks proteins and growth factors, serum supplementation is recommended based on the specific cell type and application. This formulation includes L-Glutamine.

Supplements, such as antibiotics, should be added as sterile supplements to the medium. Storage conditions and shelf-life of supplemented product will be affected by the nature of the supplements. Sterile serum should not be refiltered before or after being added to sterile medium because growth promoting capacity may be reduced upon re-filtration.

The product is intended to be used in vitro for research or further manufacturing only and not for use as an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient or food or animal feed.
