Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) is formulated to support the maintenance and growth of a wide variety of mammalian cell types. Phoenix Scientific’s DMEM High Glucose matches the original formulation with 4500 mg/L of glucose. When supplemented with Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS), it supports the proliferation of cells with high energy demands. This version contains L-Glutamine but is free of sodium bicarbonate and sodium pyruvate.

Uses:
Supplements, such as antibiotics, should be added as sterile supplements to the medium. Storage conditions and shelf-life of supplemented products will be affected by the nature of the supplements.

Signs of Deterioration:
Medium should be clear and free of particulate and flocculent material.  Do not use this medium if it is cloudy or contains precipitate.  Other evidence of deterioration may include colour change or degradation of physical or performance characteristics.

The product is intended to be used in vitro for research or further manufacturing only and not for use as an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient or food or animal feed.
